Dear Friend,
The Learning First Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, has been in the forefront of public school reform since 1996 through the development of partnerships supporting public school teachers, families and community members.
We are happy to report that our mission is alive and thriving and that in addition to the nearly 700 children and families we currently serve, LFF has supported the education of nearly 800 young people who have travelled the globe, attended the finest colleges and universities, entered the workforce, and otherwise distinguished themselves as students, workers, and citizens.
Among the priorities of the LFF are:
- Giving parents the tools and support to help their children grown and learn
- Well rounded instructional programs that integrate arts, music, technology and character education into learning
- Tailoring instruction to meet individual needs through on-going authentic assessment within a Response to Intervention (RtI) model
- Extend learning through assemblies, field trips, an after-school program, summer school and the Seven Hills Enrichment Learning Laboratory (SHELL)
- Developing intensives that unite the school around the study of engaging themes
The LFF is committed to maintaining and enhancing its programs for Worcester’s citizens but in this age of funding shortfalls it may not be able to sustain all of what is important for Worcester’s citizens. We need your help.
Learning First Foundation has developed several programs designed to meet the needs of children, parents, and teachers which have great value to the community at large, and are in danger due to budget shortfalls. All programs are free, open to all Worcester residents, and overseen by qualified, trained professionals.
We are looking to you for support to build the capacity of the Learning First Foundation to continue its ongoing mission on the cutting edge of educational reform and to provide services for all of Worcester.
